RPET 2015: Application Form, Exam Date

Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test also known as RPET is an entrance test conducted by Rajasthan board of technical education for the admission to various undergraduate courses in Engineering and Architecture. The exam is conducted for the admission to various engineering colleges of the state excluding BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and various other deemed and private universities.
If you are looking for a career in the engineering field, than RPET is one of the best options for you to get admission in various engineering colleges of the Rajasthan state. Here we will be discussing about exam form, date, application procedure and pattern of the examinations.

Application Form

The RPET 2015 application form will be issued in the month of March 2015; and the last date of fees payment will be April 2015. The candidates are advised to keep checking the website for future updates, since the official date for the conduct of exam is not yet decided by Rajasthan Board of Technical Education. In 2014 around 74000 candidates appeared for the RPET examination, and the examination was held in the month of May 2014. Before the date of examination the board will generate and issue the RPET admit card 2015 to the candidates.

How to Apply Online

The candidates can apply online for RPET 2015. The candidates have to fill their details carefully first. Then upload their scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format. After submitting the online application take the printout of the confirmation page. The candidates have to send a copy of application form along with the requisite supporting document to the examination controller body. The candidates must keep the copy of filled application form for the further communication during the RPET result 2015 or the RPET counselling 2015.

RPET 2015 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates appearing for the RPET exam 2015 must fulfill the eligibility criteria in order to appear for the examinations. The eligibility criterion for the candidates is discussed below:
  • Candidate must belong to Rajasthan.
  • Candidate must have completed class 12th with 45% in aggregate. In case of reserved category candidate the percentage criteria is 40%.
  • Candidate must have studied Physics, Math’s and any other optional subject like chemistry, biology and computer science in their class 12th.
  • The candidates appearing for the exam must be born after, 1 October 1989, whereas in case of reserved category the candidates must be born after October 1 1984.

RPET Exam Pattern

The RPET 2015 exam pattern is very beneficial for the engineering aspirants who are looking for taking admission in various private and government engineering colleges of Rajasthan state. The exam pattern will help the students in understanding “how the exam is being conducted” and “how to prepare for the exam”. The paper pattern of RPET 2015 will provide the students all the details regarding type of questions, marking scheme, important topics etc. The paper pattern for the RPET exam has been discussed below:
  • The RPET paper will consist of the questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, the question will be based on syllabus of class 11th and 12th.
  • The duration of the paper will be 3 hours.
  • The paper comprises of 120 questions, 40 from each subject.
  • The paper will be in Bilingual mode i.e. Hindi and English.
  • The candidates will be awarded one mark for each right answer.
