KEAM 2015 Overview

Kerala Engineering, Agriculture and Medical (KEAM) is a state level UG entrance examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination Kerala for the admission to the various UG courses offered by the institutions located in the limits of Kerala state. The examination is also known as the CEE Kerala. The KEAM 2015 entrance examination will be conducted at various centres across including in major cities outside of the state like Delhi, Mumbai, Ranchi, Shillong and Dubai (UAE).

Offered Courses

KEAM 2015 is a gateway to various UG courses like MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BSMS, B.Sc (Forestry), B.Sc (honors) agriculture, B.VSc (animal Husbandry), B.FSc and B.Tech (in all regular branches including agriculture, food engineering and dairy science and technology).

Notification 2015

The CEE Kerala government has announced the KEAM 2015 entrance examination and information brochure. The KEAM 2015 entrance examination will be held from 20th April 2015 across the various centres of the state and above said major cities.

KEAM 2015 Application Form

KEAM 2015 application form will be available from 10th January 2015 on the official website of the CEE Kerala. The students may get the application form from the official site before the last date (3rd Feb 2015) of availability. The form will be available on site for maximum three weeks. The candidates may request for the application form via post by sending a DD of the respective amount to the board.

Eligibility

For appearing the KEAM 2015 examination the candidates must have cleared the 10+2 examination with PCM (for engineering courses) or PCB (for all courses except engineering courses) with 50% in core subject (Biology/Mathematics) and 50% in total aggregate. Those candidates having engineering diploma with minimum 50% marks are also eligible to apply. The candidates must have the age of 17 years or above as on or before 31st December 2015.

Application Process

The candidates would have to register themselves on the portal and download the application form. The Security Card along with the prospectus can be get through the designated post offices. The security card will contain the key number that will be required to filling the application form. Fill all required details in application form including the DD details and submit the application form then take the print out of filled form. Then send the filled application form including the DD and supportive documents (academic, residential and category certificates) within the time to the address given below:

Application Fees

The application fees for the KEAM 2015 entrance examination is Rs. 1000/- for the general and OBCs category and Rs. 500/- for the SC/ST candidates. The application fee can be submitted via DD or cash payment to the selected post offices. The ST candidates whose family annual income is below 40,000/annum are exempted to payment the application form on condition they have to produce the income and caste certificate by the revenue authority.

Examination Pattern & Schedule

The examination will be consisted of two papers for the engineering and medical each. Each paper will comprise in 120 multiple type questions (consist of five suggestive answers) of 480 marks. Each correct will carry the four marks. There is the provision of negative marking and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. The duration of paper is 2 ½ hours. The examination will be held on time at 10:00 am – 12:30 pm as per the following schedule:

 Syllabus

The KEAM 2015 entrance examination syllabus has been extracted from the 10th and the 12th academic syllabus of central and state board of India. The students are suggested to get the preparation from the 12th syllabus, previous papers and the guides available in the market.

Selection Process

The selection will be made on the basis of merit rank calculated by the marks obtained in the KEAM 2015 examination and the marks obtained in the 12th examination in the ratio of 50:50.

Admit Card

The KEAM 2015 admit card or hall ticket will be available from the 23rd March 2015 through the official website of the CEE kerala before the KEAM 2015 examination commencement as from 20th April 2015. The candidates are suggested to visit the official site or contact the board in case of not receiving the hall ticket on time. There is no other mode except online to communicate the students regarding admit cards. The candidates those applications would be rejected can not get the admit cards. The admit card can be get by entering the registration number and the date of birth.

Results

KEAM 2015 results will be announced by the 20th May 2015. The results will be published on the official site and the India’s leading newspapers. The Rank List will also be published by the 25th June 2015. The answer key will be published after the successful completion of the examination. The candidates can claim the answer sheet if any against the payment of Rs. 100/complaint in form of a DD in favour to the Board.

Counselling

The ranked candidates will be called for the counselling which will likely to be held in July 2015 in both mode online and offline. The students will have to register for counselling with fees. Candidates will fill their choices and appear the counselling for allotment of seats and colleges.
