Odisha DET 2015 Overview

Odisha Diploma Entrance Test 2015 is also known as the Odisha DET 2015. The examination will be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education & Training and governed by the Department of Employment and Technical Education & Training, Government of Odisha. This is a state polytechnic entrance test which offers various polytechnic diploma courses to the institutions located in Odisha. This examination is a gateway to the first semester and lateral entry to the various courses in the field of engineering, technology, non-engineering and film and TV courses.

• Diploma in Modern Office Management – 3 years
• Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology – 3 years
• Diploma in Pharmacy – 2 years
• Diploma in Cinematography – 3 years
• Diploma in Sound and TV Engineering – 3 years
• Diploma in Film & Video Editing – 3 years

Eligibility

• The candidates should be passed HSC or 10^th or its equivalent examination from BSE Odisha or any other board with minimum of 35% marks in aggregate and 30% in each subject with math, science and English for 1^st semester of engineering and technology.
• The minimum age should be 14 years (16 years for mining and drilling) for engineering & technology and 16 years for other courses.
• For other courses, the candidates must be passed 10+2 or SSC with science (for pharmacy & sound engineering) or science/arts/commerce (for other courses) with 35% in aggregate and 30% in each subject.
• The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination may also apply.
• The reservation under different categories will be acceptable as per the government of Odisha.

Odisha DET 2015 Application Form

The DET Odisha 2015 application form will be accepted only through the online mode. There will not be the offline mode of submission of application form. The application form will be available on the official site of the board in the month of March 2015, and will be open till the end of the month. The candidates may apply and submit the application form via online and pay the application fees as Rs. 200/- (for SC/ST/PH) or Rs. 350/- (for female) or Rs. 400/- (for general male) through the credit card/ debit card/ e-Challan or net banking at any branch of IDBI or Axis bank.

Admit Card

The candidates will be suggested to obtain the admit card for examination 2015 from the official site. The candidates may also get the admit card from the examination centre by paying Rs. 20/- with the written application and two attested photographs identically as uploaded in the online application form. The admit card can be downloaded with the examination centre and roll numbers before 15 days the commencement of the Odisha DET 2015 examination.

Schedule & Pattern

The examination will consist of multiple type questions with no negative marking. The examination will be held separately for the different categories. The examination for 1^st semester will be held at 10:00 to 12:30 pm and for others 2:00 to 4:30 pm. The examinations will consist of the syllabus as per the qualifying examination.

Result

The DET Odisha result 2015 will be published on the official site in two weeks after the examination. The students may get the result by entering their roll number and examination centre. The Rank list and counselling date will be published after the declaration of the result.

Counselling

The candidates are advised to note the application number, user ID & password & roll number for the further use. The candidates must be deposit the Rs. 200/- (counselling fee) at the time of document verification. The allotment of seats and the institutions will be based on the merit rank through the counselling.
