Punjab Technical University – Combined Entrance Test (PTU CET) is a state level entrance examination for the admission in various Undergraduate courses in the field of engineering, architecture and pharmacy. Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar conducts this examination every year and offers admissions to the colleges affiliated to itself and Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and Punjabi University, Patiala.
PTU CET Application Form
The aspirants would collect their PTU CET 2015 application form from PTU offices and designated branches of Punjab National Bank & Allahabad Bank of Punjab. The candidate would download the application from the official website also but they would have to submit the application form offline. The candidates would get the application form and Brochure on a payment of Rs. 550/- at the PTU Counter or Rs. 600/- in shape of DD to the favour of Registrar PTU, payable at Jalandhar.

Seats
The 85% seats offered by the PTU CET are reserved for the resident candidates of Punjab and 15% seats would be filled as the management quota for all Indian candidates.
Eligibility
For appearing the PTU CET the minimum academic qualification is 10+2 examinations pass with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as the main subjects.
For B.Tech
The candidates who wish to get the admission in B.Tech course should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics as the main subjects and Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science as the optional subject.
Those candidates having 3 years Engineering Diploma from Punjab State Board of Technical Education or Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, would also be eligible for PTU CET examination.
For B.Arch
The candidates who wish to get the admission in B.Arch course should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with minimum of 50% marks with Mathematics and English as the main subjects.
Those candidates having 3 years Diploma in Architecture with a minimum of 50% marks would also be eligible for PTU CET examination and an aptitude test (only for B.Arch).
For B.Pharm
The candidates who wish to get the admission in B.Pharm course should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Chemistry and Physics as the main subjects and Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science as the optional subject.
Those candidates having 3 years Diploma in Pharmacy with a minimum of 50% marks would also be eligible for PTU CET examination.
Examination Date
PTU CET 2015 would be held likely in the month of May 2015. The commencement of the sale of application form would be started likely in the month of April 2015. The PTU CET admit card 2015 will be issued in the first half of May 2015 and the result would be announced likely in the month of May/June 2015.
Examination Pattern
PTU CET consists of objective type questions in the subjects of mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. The medium of question paper is English. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Biotech/Biology/ Computer science would carry 60 marks as each subject.
How to Apply
The candidates would collect the application form from the PTU office or download from the official website. After filling the form they would be required to submit the form by offline with copies of relevant documents to the address would be given in the official website.
