Economics is a branch of social science which analyzes the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services. The focus of the subject is to study the behavior of the market and the consumers and the interrelation of both. The areas of study in Economics are mathematics, politics, social sciences and statistics to name a few. Economics can be divided into two branches, Micro Economics and Macro Economics. Microeconomics examines the behavior of basic elements in the economy, including individual agents (such as households and firms or as buyers and sellers) and markets, and their interactions. Macroeconomics analyzes the entire economy and issues affecting it, including unemployment, inflation, economic growth, and monetary and fiscal policy. Economics can be studied either as a discipline of Science, or Arts.
