Construction Technology is a branch of Civil Engineering which involves the study of construction methods. The task of the Construction technologists to design, plan, construct, and manage infrastructures such as highways, bridges, airports, railroads, buildings, dams, and utilities. Construction technologists should have good knowledge about different types of materials used for construction, along with testing procedures to assure quality control. Hence, construction technology is a combination of civil engineering and construction management. The tasks of construction technologists include problem solving, creating infrastructure etc. The major skills which are required to be a successful construction engineer include a good understanding of math and science and critical and analytical thinking, time management, people management and good communication skills.
