Food Processing and Technology involves a blend of physical, chemical or microbiological processes and techniques for transforming raw ingredients into food and also other forms in food processing industry. Food processing refers to the transformation of the raw ingredients into food or modifying food into some other forms. The work of the Food Procession and Technology professionals start from the point when the crops are harvested or the livestock are completely reared. The food materials undergo various chemical processes in order to make them consumable and ready to market. According to Wikipedia, food processing typically takes clean, harvested crops or butchered animal products and uses these to produce attractive, marketable and often long shelf-life food products.
