PESSAT (PES Scholastic Aptitude Test) | Details | Top Engineering Colleges | Admission in PES 2016

PESSAT 2016 (PES Scholastic Aptitude Test) is being conducted by PES University Bangalore for admission to engineering & other courses. PESSAT 2016 should be taken by all students who are applying for PES University Programs. However, PESSAT 2016 will not apply for PESIT South Campus, PESIMSR & PES Central Campus. PESIT Bangalore South Campus will continue with affiliation from Visveshvaraya Technological University (VTU).

Eligibility Criteria

·         Mandatory Educational Qualifications: In order to appear for PESSAT, applicants must have scored at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Maths in class 12^th or equivalent( For reserved category applicants the percentage criteria is 50% in class 12^th or equivalent).

·         Age limit: Candidates who want appear for PESSAT 2016 must be above 17 years and below 35 years of age.

·         Nationality: The applicant must be a citizen of India in order to apply for PESSAT 2016

Application Process

The PES University conducts PESSAT (PES Scholastic Aptitude Test), which is an online exam for admissions to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as BE, BBM, BHEM, MBA, MCA, M-Tech, PHD, MSc (Engg), B.Tech and other various courses in this university and its affiliated institutes.

The online registrations for the exam have begun on the official website. According to the website, the exam for admissions to engineering programmes will be held on varying dates in the month of May 2016 at various locations across India.

PESSAT 2016 Online Application Details

·         Candidates seeking admission to engineering and other courses must submit duly filled in application form online at the official website of PESSAT online entrance test 2016.

• Click on registration link –Registration will be done in four parts-

Ø  Part 1– Fill in your personal details and the course you want to apply.

Ø  Part 2– Fill in required details and educational qualifications.

Ø  Part 3– Upload your image as per the specified dimensions and click on submit button

Ø  Part 4-Payment details – choose your payment mode

Payment can be made via following options.

Net banking- can be paid directly

By challan– Candidate has to print both application form and challan, carry both to bank for payment. Submit hard copy of application along with copy of stamped challan.

Credit card/debit card-can be paid directly

By Demand draft-Has to be paid in Favour of “PES University General Fund” payable at Bangalore. Candidate has to procure DD from bank, enter DD details in the space provided online and to be sent along with printed application form to the following address.

The exam fee for PES Scholastic Aptitude Test 2016 is INR 975.

·         Payment of fees can be made through debit/credit cards, net banking, Challan, or by demand draft in favor of “PES University General Fund” payable at Bangalore.

PESSAT 2016 – PES Scholastic Aptitude Test | Selection Criteria-

40% of the total seats are reserved for CET candidates. For BBM/BBA/BBA-HEM courses 100% of the seats will be filled by PES University.

For remaining 60% seats-

·         1st preference: PESSAT Test Scores

·         2nd preference: Karnataka CET 2016 and COMEDK UGET 2016 Test Score

·         3rd preference: Other National Level Entrance exams Test Scores

PESSAT 2016 – PES Scholastic Aptitude Test | Exam Pattern:

The exam paper will be divided into two sections-

·         Section 1 comprises of questions from Physics, Maths and Chemistry. The questions will be based on syllabus of class 11^th and 12^thof CBSE Board. 30% of questions will be from class 11^th syllabus and rest from class 12^thsyllabus.

·         Section 2 will be based subject English.

·         Total time duration of the exam is 3 hours.

 

PESSAT Pattern for BBM/BHEM–

The question paper will be divided into 3 sections–
