Anna University of Technology, Madurai was established in 2010. It was established by the Act of Government of Tamilnadu to strengthen and improve the quality of higher education in the state of Tamilnadu. This university is of affiliating type with over 15000 students studying in 36 affiliated institutions The University presently conducts 17 undergraduate programs and 32 postgraduate programs and also offers unique specialized UG and PG (Part-Time) programs for the working professionals. The University plans to have collaboration with national and international Universities and Industries for research projects and student exchange programs.The University presently conducts 17 undergraduate programs and 32 postgraduate programs. The Anna University of Technology Madurai is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities.
