Karnataka CET Entrance Exam 2015 | Karnataka CET Dates for Medical

Admission into the Profession courses 2015

Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Karnataka including the wards of Jammu and Kashmiri migrants for registration to the Common Entrance Test 2015 to Professional Courses detailed herein under for the seats to be notified by the Govt in the Professional Educational Institutions in the State for the academic year 2015-16.

Eligibility Criteria for CET 2015

Medical / Dental (MBBS / BDS): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy, Yoga (ISM&H): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with English as one of the languages and obtained minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (40% for SC/ST/Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer (40% for SC/ST/Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
Architecture (B.Arch): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with Mathematics as compulsory optional subject and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all the subjects (45% for SC/ST/Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates) Minimum of 40% marks in NATA for all categories of students including SC/ST/OBC
B.Sc (Agriculture, Forestry, Sericulture, Agri Biotech, Horticulture), B.H. Sc (Home Science):Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects
Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects (40% for SC/ST/Cat-1, 2A, 3A and 3B category candidates)
B.Tech (Food Technology, Dairy Technology), B.F. Sc (Bachelor of Fisheries Sciences), B.Tech (Food Science and Technology), B.Sc (Ag Marketing and Co-operation): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects
B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as optional subjects
B-Pharma: Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard /equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in PCM/PCB (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates); or Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45 marks. (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
2nd Year B. Pharma: Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45 marks. (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
Pharma-D: Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard /equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; or Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institutions approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act

How to Apply

Visit website www.kea.kar.nic.in and enter all details online by selecting “CET 2015 UG Online application”
After completion of all the details, candidates will receive an Application Number and Password to their registered mobile phone number and to email address and also the same information will be displayed on the screen.
Upload the scanned copy of recent passport size Color Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression of candidate and signature of parent in JPG/JPEG format separately.
Print the challan copy which is in triplicate, Candidates of Karnataka origin have to pay a fee amount of Rs 650/- for General and OBC (Rs 500/- for SC/ST category-1 of Karnataka candidates only) Rs 750/- in case of candidates residing outside the state of Karnataka and Rs 5000/- in case of candidates residing outside India.
The candidates have to pay the requisite fee in any of the branch of State Bank of Mysore, Syndicate Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Axis Bank, or computerized Post Office.
The Bank/Post Office will retain bank will retain bank copy of the Challan and handover the student copy and KEA copy of Challan to the Candidates.
The candidates who are residing outside India shall pay the fees in the form of Demand Draft in favor of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, payable at Bangalore, the Demand draft should be sent to KEA address by mentioning the online application number on the backside of the Demand Draft along with the copy of the final printout of application.
Take a printout of the filled online application form on A-4 Size paper. Obtain the Principal’s seal and signature purposes.
Candidates have to enter all the required details in the online application form, failing which their application will not be considered.
Applications without Photo and signature will not be considered as valid.
Candidates are not allowed to edit their online application after selecting declaration / taking the final printout.
Information Brochure can be collected by producing the KEA copy of the Challan in the respective school / colleges where the candidate is studying 2nd PUC or 12th Standard within Karnataka on or after 20th March, 2015.
The information Brochure will be sent the home address by speed post by KEA to the candidates who are residing outside Karnataka.
Candidates are advised to verify and confirm that they are fulfilling any one of the eligibility clauses updated on the KEA website www.kea.kar.nic.in and also in the brochure before applying for admission to Govt seats in Professional Colleges in the state of Karnataka for the year 2015.
For any reason the fee paid by the candidates will not be refunded

Note: A candidates who had obtained a seat in any discipline through the KEA (CET Cell) in any of the previous years will not be eligible to appear for the Common Entrance Test-2015 for selection of a seat in the same discipline However, candidates are eligible to appear for a seat in different discipline subject to his forfeiting the earlier seat allotted to him on being assigned a seat this year.
The minimum passing marks for all Horanadu and Gadinady Kannadiga candidates shall be 12 out of 50 marks in Kannada Language Examination conducted by KEA in order to be considered for assigning of ranks and to become eligible for allotment of seats in CET – 2015.
In case of Agriculturist Quota, the merit will be prepared based on 25% marks each, secured in concerned combinations in 2nd Year PUC (PCMB) & CET and 50% marks secured in the Practical Test.
In case of B.V. Sc & AH merit will be prepared based on 50% marks secured in CET (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and 50% marks scored in the practical test.
