Inspired by the noble cause of education and philanthropic zeal, a group of Kolkata based ikeminded industrialists joined hands to form a public charitable educational foundation - Kalyan Bharti Trust (KBT) - to further their dreams of serving the Society.Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata (HIT-K), established by KBT in 2001, while following the norms and syllabi of the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), its affiliating university, ensures that students become self-motivated and employable.The Heritage campus, inaugurated by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India,is located on a prime land at Anandapur behind Ruby General Hospital and halfway between the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass and the Basanti Expressway. The campus is exquisitely landscaped with intertwined roads connecting various buildings inside the campus. It provides a tranquil surrounding with a backdrop of lush greenery, which offers an aesthetically pleasing and serene atmosphere, on one hand, and an intellectually stimulating environment, on the other.

Shri Hari Krishna Chaudhary, a Graduate from BITS Pilani, is the Chairman of Vikram Group of Industries, a pioneer in manufacture and export of tea processing machinery and modern solar plant. The Vikram Group is also engaged in a variety of businesses in diverse areas such as floriculture, yarn, garments and chemicals, amongst others. He is considered as a visionary in the field of education. He is the Chairman of BRCM Education Society which runs a day-boarding school along with a fully residential school and an engineering college in Bahal, Haryana. He is also deeply involved in other philanthropic activities.A warm welcome to Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. About HIT M.E/M.Tech Course:-
Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field. This is generally a 2-years for specialization program in a specific branch of engineering or a technical field. ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.The scope of the course varies from material research to machinery development, Nano Technology, Smart materials, Aerospace Technology, Missiles technology, CAD/CAM, FMS, CIM, Automation and such other interrelated developments.Admission Details of HIT Kolkata:-
