Amrita began as a School of Engineering in 1994 in an obscure village,
Ettimadai, located at the foothills of Bouluvanpatty Ranges of the
Western Ghats in Coimbatore District of Tamil Nadu. It was indeed a
modest beginning with just 120 students and 13 faculty members.
In 2003, Amrita became the youngest group of higher educational institutions in India to be conferred the "University" status under "Section 3 of UGC Act 1956" by the Government of India.
The Entrance Exam of Amrita University 2013 will be conducted on 21st April, 2013 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm. Amrita University is a UGC recognized university having three campuses at Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Amritapuri. The University will organize Entrance Examination for Amrita University 2013 like every year for admissions in undergraduate programmes in Medicine, Engineering, Science, Education, Management, Social Work and Mass Communication.
A minimum aggregate of 60% must have been secured by the candidates in these three subjects as per Eligibility Criteria of Amrita University 2013.
OR
The candidates have a three year Engineering Diploma awarded by any State Board of Technical Education with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
Age: The candidates who are born on or after the month of July 1991 shall be eligible as per the Eligibility Criteria of Amrita University 2013.
Candidate should send the completely filled Application Forms to the following Address before the last date:

In the Semi - Online mode, candidates don’t have to pay the fee online. They can fill the form online and generate its print out. Then, in the next step of Amrita University 2013 Online Registration, they have to draw a DD of Rs. 850/- in favor of Amrita School of Engineering which must be payable at Coimbatore.
Then the candidates have to paste their recent, colored passport sized photo on the form, sign the form themselves and get it signed by their parents/guardians and mail it to the following address till 20.03.2013:

AEEE-2013 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must have passed the class XII exam or any other equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 55% in Physics and Chemistry separately and 60% in Mathematics.A minimum aggregate of 60% must have been secured by the candidates in these three subjects as per Eligibility Criteria of Amrita University 2013.

AEEE-2013 Exam Pattern
- The duration of the Examination is 3 hours (10 AM to 1 PM).
- There will be only one question paper containing objective type questions in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
- Each question will be followed by four answers of which only one is correct / most appropriate.
- The question booklet will be in English. Each question carries 3 marks.
- Negative mark (-1) will be awarded for each wrong answer.
