Sri Krishnadevaraya University Admissions 2016

Sri Krishnadevaraya University was established in THE YEAR 1981. The university firstly started with four engineering branches Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Biotechnology.

In 1987, with a capital outlay of Rs. 1.2 crores, Sri Krishnadevaraya Institute of Management was started with funding from the UGC. In 1988, the University which was originally a unitary, residential institution, became a full fledged affiliating University.

Courses Offered by SKU:

• Bachelor of Arts (BA)
• Bachelor of Science (BSc)
• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
• Bachelor of Business Management (BBM)
• Bachelor of Technology (BTech)

Admissions Criteria for Various Courses:

The Admissions into PG and PG diploma courses in the College of Arts & Commerce, College of Science & Technology and PG centres are based on ranks obtained in a common entrance test called SKUCET conducted by Andhra University.

The admissions into MBA and MCA courses are made on the basis of common entrance test (ICET) conducted by Government of Andhra Pradesh.

UG College of Law (LLB.)

Admissions are based on the ranks obtained in the LAWCET, conducted by Govt. of A.P. for all Colleges of Law in A.P.

PG Engineering (M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm.)

The admissions for PG Engineering was based on the GATE and the rank obtained in the entrance test in the respective subjects conducted by SKU.

PG courses (M.Phil/Ph.D.)

Based on the GATE percentile and the rank obtained in theentrance test in the respective subjects conducted by SKU and Research set conducted by SKU.

Krishnadevaraya University Facilities:

Central Library

The Central library of the University is provided with a rich and varied collection of 114000 books, 190 periodicals and 118 magazines

Sports

The University College provides facilities for a wide range of sports and games and also provides facilities for indoor games like shuttle badminton, table-tennis, chess, carroms etc.,

Hostel Facilities:

Separate hostels for men and women are provided. The University has five hostels for men and two hostels for women students with an additional hostel for working women and day care centre.
