Eligibility Criteria
Karnataka Common Entrance Test is
conducted with the objective of granting admission to students on merit
basis in full times courses of Medical, Dental, Engineering and
Ayurveda, Unani, Naturopathy, Technology and Architecture Courses in the
institutions within the State of Karnataka.
A parallel test is organized by
Karnataka Medical and Dental College Association under the name of
Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka.
COMEDK is independent of the state organized CET. Students who do no
reside in Karnataka cannot appear in CET. They can only appear in
COMEDK.
JEE Main is another national level
entrance examination whose scores are widely acceptable in different
engineering colleges of the state. 50% weightage is given to JEE Main
scores and 50% weightage is given to 10+2 results. Students for JEE Main
should be at least 17 years of age.
